چکیده

The global climate has changed, and there are concerns about the effects on both humans environment, necessitating more research for improved adaptation. In this study, we analyzed extreme temperature rainfall events projected future change scenarios coastal Savannah agroecological zone (CSAZ) of Ghana. We utilized ETCCDI, RClimDex software (version 1.0), Mann–Kendall test, Sen’s slope estimator, standardized anomalies to analyze homogeneity, trends, magnitude, seasonal variations in (Tmax Tmin) datasets zone. SDSM was also used downscale based CanESM2 (RCP 2.6, 4.5, 8.5 scenarios) HadCM3 (A2 B2 models Model performance evaluated using statistical methods such as R2, RMSE, PBIAS. Results revealed changepoints Tmin than Tmax rainfall. again showed that CSAZ warmed over last four decades. SU25, TXn, TN90p have increased significantly zone, opposite is case TN10p DTR. Spatially varied trends were observed TXx, TNx, TNn, TX10p, TX90p, CSDI across decrease RX1day, RX5day, SDII, R10, R95p, R99p significant most parts central region compared Greater Accra Volta regions, while CDD decreased latter two regions former. CWD PRCPTOT insignificant throughout overall during calibration validation good ranged from 58–99%, 0.01–1.02 °C, 0.42–11.79 °C PBIAS, respectively. expected be highest (1.6 °C) lowest (−1.6 three well (1.5 entire according models. Investigation of the atmospheric circulation anomalies associated with extreme rainfall events over the Coastal West Africa

This study investigates the atmospheric circulation associated with extreme rainfall events over the coastal West Africa. The rainfall data of this study were obtained from the Global Precipitation Climatology Centre (GPCC), spanning from 1981 to 2010. The atmospheric datasets were also obtained from the ERA-Interim reanalysis. The study employed the Z-Index to categorize dry and wet years into...

linkage between climate change and extreme events in iran

in recent years, interest in climatic extreme events (droughts, floods and heat waves) has been growing not only due to their direct impact on many socio-economic sectors, but also as climate change indicators. in this study, the behavior of extreme events is investigated using extreme climate index software (ecis) package. the trend analysis of extreme indices is applied to daily series of tem...

Impacts of climate change on extreme precipitation events in arid (Bandar Abbas) and semi-arid (Shahrekord) stations in Iran

The aim of this paper is to project extreme precipitation events in an arid and a semiarid station. In order to project climate change based on general circulation models (GCMs), we have applied LARS-WG[1] downscaling tool. This stochastic weather generator down-scaled the climate of two synoptic stations using HADCM3 model and A2 emission scenario for 2040. We extracted extreme precipitation e...
